Cheng Cheng Yi is a Chinese artist born in 1985 in Anhui. He obtained the bachelor and master degree of fine arts from Anhui Normal University.
His creation is based on his current thinking about the reality. By combining the pop art style and painting language, he would like to present the subtle relation between humans in our daily life and also his discovery and recognition of his own identity. The symbolic elements in his paintings always have a metaphoric and critical meaning. Those critical thoughts are hidden under the “beautiful" image, just like our life — we have to fight to move forward even with numb and powerless feeling.
