Maison Ozmen is pleased to present the solo show of Taiwanese artist Wan Ting Hsu in Paris. The exhibition will be open from 27th April to 7th May in our Parisian gallery sapce: 12 Rue la Boétie, 75008 Paris. During the show, 5 oil canvas and 5 watercolor on paper works of Hsu will be presented. In this way, we would like to give our collectors a unique chance to get to know Hsu’s art practice in different techniques.
Wan Ting Hsu is born in Taiwan in 1984, she is graduated from DYU majoring watercolor and oil painting. The innocent cute girl called “Mooca” in different dresses is the main character in Hsu’s artworks. The artist put the little girl in different environment and let her have different emotions and experiences. Sometimes she’s facing the sun while holding a sunflower, sometimes she’s lost in a garden of rose, feeling confused and wants to escape from it. The artist want to express her willing to stay pure and to experience every beautiful things in the world by this character.
We as the audience, can always feel the connection with this girl when looking at the works. We are taking the adventure together with Mooca, immersing in the fairytale world carefully created by Hsu.
