While preparing for this exhibition, Pucky gained interest in a mythical ancient civilization called Lemuria, which lent her the inspiration behind the works. The main tenets of Lemuria: Love, Peace, Art, Music, and Nature are all the concepts Pucky used in her creative process; the contrasting energies of Dark and Light, Soft and Bold, Death and Rebirth can be felt in the colors and brush strokes of Pucky’s paintings.
Pucky’s works present a strong vital energy by using the high-contrast and vivid colors. The character of “antenna girl” in the paintings brings audience a sense of mystery, but also a sun-like energy and braveness from space. The artist found a subtle way to present those character in between figuration and abstraction. All the dynamic brushstrokes, colors and the mysterious atmosphere of the painting bring the audience to step closer to discover all those details on the work.
